About Joey

At my core, I'm an artist. Early on I trained in traditional art making—hands on tactile art with actual non-digital materials—painting, drawing, sculpture, classical animation. I later learned how to do it all digitally, graduating with distinction from the Design program at OCAD University, and have been wilfully seduced into the world of graphic design.

I've worked for the past 8 years in a corporate design position overseeing the creative direction of Canada's #1 leadership development conference company, The Art Of, involving the production of all it's printed and digital signage, web imagery, advertising, presentations, and all measures of visual communication, including being the Creative Director for 17 volumes of The Art Of Magazine.

I've also worked in the video game industry doing illustration and animation, at an international custom art studio working with some of the world’s leading interior designers and architects, an amazing signage design company, and worked briefly with The Tite Group, which has since evolved into Church+State, an industry leading content and advertising agency based in Toronto.

In my free time I've been most recently working on an upcoming graphic novel, a board game, and designing and building a new art studio in my home in London Ontario, where I live with my fantastic wife and two beautiful children.
